This lecture by a renown American author of ''In Death Lamented" and mourning jewelry expert Sarah Nehama - will give an overview of antique mourning & sentimental jewelry with an emphasis on symbolism.
In this talk Sarah will cover the iconography found in memento mori, mourning, and sentimental jewelry, and how those symbols often intersect.
The various stylistic designs will be placed in context throughout the history of these jewels covering the mid-17th century to the early 20th century in Western Europe and America.

Ze publiceert regelmatig in tijdschriften en geeft lezingen in musea en op andere inspirerende locaties. In haar podcast Sieraden Sherlock ontrafelt Kim de geheimen van juwelen samen met andere liefhebbers, historici, goudsmeden en gemmologen. Iedere
