Paulien Schipper: Eclectic Jewels

Rotterdam-based artist-goldsmith Paulien Schipper has been creating, restoring, and reimagining jewellery since 2003. Working from her atelier in De Wasserij — a vibrant creative hub in a former industrial building — she brings together craftsmanship, history, and contemporary design in pieces that are as wearable as they are poetic.

Her collections reveal a love of form and light: the sculptural Lamellen series, the expressive freedom of her Vrij Werk, and Eclect, where family heirlooms and vintage treasures are given new life. Each piece carries both a respect for tradition and a spark of reinvention.

Trained in Schoonhoven and certified as a gemmologist by the Dutch Gemmological Institute, Paulien combines technical mastery with a commitment to working responsibly, often using recycled gold.
