Nicoline van Boven: A Wearable Expression of Identity | NETHERLANDS

Dutch jewellery designer Nicoline van Boven has been shaping wearable narratives for over two decades. Based in Kapelle, Zeeland, her creations blend personal stories with meticulous craftsmanship.

Roses find a lasting form in her signature bouquet rings, where small sculpted blooms gather around colourful gemstones. Symbols of love, joy and affection, they become miniature gardens for the hand. Elsewhere, her curiosity leads towards bolder silver forms, sometimes developed through experiments with origami. Flowing lines meet geometry, revealing a playful approach to scale and structure.

Every piece is made by Nicoline herself, from the first sketch to the final finish, with close attention to how it feels when worn. Her bespoke work can also give inherited gold and family jewels a new chapter, carrying their emotional significance into a design that belongs to its present owner. It is an approach that speaks naturally to The Salon: jewellery to discover through conversation, enjoy through wearing and, in time, pass on.
