Kerstin Lodder: Contemporary Handmade Jewelry
Kerstin Lodder is a Dutch jewellery designer and goldsmith whose work is featured within the international platform World Luxury Jewellers. She creates high-end, handcrafted pieces using precious materials such as 18-karat gold, diamonds, and Tahitian pearls, often producing unique or commissioned designs.
Her path into jewellery was not linear; before becoming a goldsmith, she studied and worked in various fields and lived in different countries. Eventually, she chose to follow a long-standing creative impulse and trained at the Goldsmithing School in Schoonhoven, in the Netherlands. Since then, she has dedicated herself fully to the craft, developing a practice rooted in traditional techniques such as drawing, sculpting, and hand fabrication.
Her design philosophy centers on the emotional and symbolic qualities of jewelry. Kerstin describes jewelry as something that captures fleeting beauty and transforms it into tangible form—objects that carry meaning, history, and personal significance. Through her work, she aims to create pieces that are both tactile and dreamlike, blending artistic expression with wearable design and emphasizing the intimate relationship between maker, material, and wearer.
