Camille Jean-Mairet: Swiss Engraver Based in The Hague

Camille Rose Jean-Mairet is a Swiss engraver, born and raised in Neuchâtel, who has moved her creative practice to The Hague.

After graduating in engraving from the School of Applied Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2019, she spent six months in Australia improving her English before beginning her own atelier in the Netherlands in late 2020.

Her work centers on precision, fine detail, and craftsmanship. She describes engraving as “full of diversity” and enjoys collaborating with related crafts, particularly jewellery and watchmaking.

For Camille, the most rewarding part of her artistic practice is beautifying the object she works on — the small subtleties, quality, and finish matter deeply.

Her atelier, welcomes commissions as well as collaborations, and each piece is meant to be truly unique.
